Position Overview:
NMC Cat is currently seeking a Generator Field Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in providing technical support and services for on-site power generation systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing generator systems, as well as related components like switchgear, UPS systems, and transfer switches.

 PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

• Deliver customer support for on-site power generation facilities, performing technical evaluations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Install, service, and repair generators, UPS, switchgear, automatic transfer switches, and other related products. This includes first-time installations and coordinating with multiple system components, ensuring they operate seamlessly as a unit.
• Conduct machine performance and diagnostic tests, interpret results, and independently determine necessary repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of engines, generators, controls, emissions systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair generating set systems, including fuel delivery, ignition, cooling, exhaust systems, turbocharging, and engine internals.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting of AC/DC power systems, interpreting schematics, and repairing motors, relays, generator components, and controls.
