Welder Technician - Line Bore

NMC Cat is looking for a Line Bore Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring line boring and machining activities are carried out with a high degree of safety, accuracy and professionalism.  Additionally, you will be performing a range of maintenance, fitting, welding and machining tasks in both field and shop environments.  When you’re not working at the shop, you’ll operate a straight truck that you’ll drive to customer sites to perform work duties.  You’ll work with customers to build an understanding of their production and work environment needs.  The successful applicant must have or obtain a Learner's CDL Permit within 60 days of hire.  CDL Training is onsite and the first training/permit are paid for.

 PRIMARY JOB DUTIES*:
•    Set up, calibrate and operate boring machines to bore, drill, tap, spot face, groove, mill, or ream metal workpieces according to specifications, tooling instructions, and standard charts  •    Reference and interpret blueprints or job orders for product specifications, such as hole locations and dimensions, and tooling instructions, such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, and cutting tools to be used. 
•    Perform wire welding, stick welding and air arching 
•    Meet time requirement guidelines (TRG) standards.  Escalate unresolved issues to Supervisors and Service Writers for further research and assistance. 
•    Accomplish repair by following parts ordering process, completing service reports, and giving appropriate verbal or written communication in email or service reports.
