We are looking for a Data Architect  eager to learn and perform full life-cycle application development and support for our systems which we will take the time to teach you and position you for success. As the Data Architect, you will exercise considerable latitude in determining methods and objectives of assignments. You’ll be responsible for managing corporate information, reporting needs and automated processing of reports to managers to make effective business decisions. You’ll have the support of a cohesive team where everyone is committed to your development and success. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 

  • Manage corporate reporting needs and effectively automate report process using SQL, PowerBI, and other ad-hoc query reporting tools/packages. 
  • Strong financial knowledge 
  • Maintain consistency in system data extraction methodologies and develop best practices for system scope, design, build, test, and delivery. 
  • Work closely with other department personnel to provide infrastructure change recommendations to better facilitate data transfer and operations. 
  • Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of company business processes and the data they create and require.  Acts as a technical resource for application and data users. 
  • Designs new systems and enhancements to accurately address user requirements including development of functional specifications and technical specifications as required as well as cost and resource estimates. 
  • Programs or configures applications according to design specifications and departmental standards; establishes test plans and data; validates and verifies functions in the program; and prepares necessary forms and documentation for implementation. 
  • Provides expertise and leadership in all phases of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) such as project scoping, requirements gathering, analysis, design, construction, testing, quality assurance, migration, and maintenance. 
  • Designs new systems and enhancements to accurately address user requirements including development of functional specifications and technical specifications as required as well as cost and resource estimates. 
  • Designs and implements institutional databases, data warehouses, and related systems with respect to organization, access methods, and documentation.  Develops and maintains expertise in the use of automated tools for database design and implementation. 
  • Administers, maintains, develops, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database systems. 
  • Provides knowledge and guidance for team members.  Uses experience to assist team members with problems and helps them grow their knowledge of internal systems and business processes.
