Position Overview

Vancer is looking for a Shop Diesel Mechanic. Our Diesel Mechanics are the cornerstone of our business and key to ensuring that our customers’ vehicle and machines are back up and running.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES*:

  • Complete diagnostics, troubleshooting, and appropriate repairs on systems such as hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and drivetrain on customer vehicles and equipment in a shop environment
  • Reference and interpret service, parts, and diagnostic software to determine problems/malfunctions and to verify repair specifications and parts needed.
  • Repairs damaged or improper functioning equipment and attachments. Troubleshoots any circuit or failure by use of computer software, hand and pneumatic tools. References Service Information Systems (SIS) to locate service letters and relevant information pertaining to failures, technical issues, and applicable repair procedures. 
  • Accomplish repair by following the parts ordering process, completing service reports, and giving appropriate verbal or written communication in email or service reports.

Compensation Range: $33-$38/Hour

Candidate is required to drive customer vehicles/equipment.
